ABOUT US

We believe there is a place for open, safe and honest discourse in the world. We want to be the home and driving force for this discussion and change. The Doe was founded to evolve discussion on the web by creating cultural change through an open-minded community of storytellers, visionaries and those with unique perspectives that need to be heard.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Copy Editor is a person whose attention to detail boggles the minds of normal humans. The role involves a heavy dose of copy editing: taking a final pass at drafts of our narratives, making sure punctuation, grammar, spelling and syntax are correct. The Copy Editor, working with the Assistant Editors, will also take on some first passes, finessing the pieces to make sure repetition is eliminated and thoughts are clear.

Storytelling is a cornerstone of The Doe‘s business and we’re looking for someone who can keep our copy sparkling clean.

Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, you will also have key input into the editorial strategy of The Doe. This role will assist in many different parts of the business to help drive website traffic via search and social, but also inform the business leaders of other potential opportunities.
