About the role

Rove Next is a new premium line from Rove Concepts, a Vancouver-based modern furniture brand selling direct to consumer across Canada and the US. Rove Next launches with improved versions of our best-selling pieces, and it needs its own marketing built from the ground up.

That’s this role. You’ll own how Rove Next reaches customers and keeps them, starting with email and lifecycle. The goal is a marketing function that scales through AI and systems rather than through headcount, and the advantage here is that you’re building it clean rather than inheriting one.

This is not a coordination role. We need someone who takes a problem and builds the answer, and who catches things before they reach leadership.

Scope

Initially focused on Rove Next, with room to expand across the Rove Concepts group as the brand grows.

What you’ll own

Email and lifecycle as our primary owned channel. Campaign calendar, flows, segmentation, deliverability, list health. We run on Klaviyo.

Quality control on everything that ships. Copy, creative, link destinations, offers, regional versions. If something goes out wrong, it was yours to catch.

Building AI into the daily work. Not proposing it, shipping it.

Working alongside our lifecycle and email team, our designers, and our external ads partner to keep the calendar moving.

Translating results into plain business language. What we spent, what we made, what we’d do differently.

Must-haves

Five or more years in ecommerce or DTC marketing with real ownership of email and lifecycle. Klaviyo or a comparable ESP.

Evidence that you build with AI yourself rather than assigning it. When you hit a wall, your instinct should be to build through it, not to raise a ticket and wait.

Fluent, native-level English, written and spoken. This one is non-negotiable. You will be writing copy that goes out to our customers under our name, so we need someone who can hear the difference between a line that sounds premium and one that sounds like a discount retailer.

A strong eye. You can look at an asset and tell whether the destination matches the promise, whether the tone is right, and whether the offer math actually adds up.

Comfortable being told when something isn’t landing, and comfortable telling us the same.

Nice to have

Furniture, home, or another considered-purchase category with a long buying cycle. Shopify, GA4 and Meta Ads familiarity. Experience holding a team to brand guidelines.

What success looks like

Flow revenue grows as a share of total email revenue. Work stops reaching leadership with errors in it. AI is doing measurable work inside the function within 90 days, rather than sitting in a proposal.

Compensation

$3,500 to $4,500 USD per month depending on experience. Independent contractor.
