About the Client

Our client is involved in an innovative data-collection project, which focuses on creating video datasets for training AI models. These AI models are designed to learn from first-person (POV) video footage. The captured videos depict real people involved in hands-on tasks with a mounted phone on their head or chest, paired with spoken narration. The purpose is to enable the model to connect visual inputs (objects, hands, actions) with audio descriptions.

About the Role

The Recorder role requires individuals who can master a specific hands-on activity from a selection of verticals. You will need to film yourself performing these tasks from a first-person perspective using your smartphone while ensuring the tasks are clearly visible. If fluent in English, you may narrate live; otherwise, ambient audio will suffice, and a separate narrator will cover the task later.

Tasks & Deliverables

• Task Execution: Select a mastered sub-area activity and record a complete end-to-end process.
• Video Requirements: Ensure hands and the procedure are constantly in focus.
• Narration: Provide live narration if fluent in English or ambient audio for post-recording narration.
• Format: Deliver videos in MP4 format with accompanying JSON metadata.
• Quality: Maintain narration density at 25 words per minute; ensure 90%+ of speech describes the setting or task steps.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience recording tutorials or classes.
• Access to various settings for diverse video backgrounds.
• Owns equipment like a head/chest mount, image stabilization tools, or a good microphone.

Rules

• No personal data on video third-party faces, screens, documents, plates, addresses, mirror reflections.
• 100% human narration no TTS or synthetic voice.

Engagement Details

• Compensation model: Hourly paid, considering the total number of hours for approved videos.

Commitment Type: Flexible hours based on video submissions.

Duration: Ongoing, with earnings based on the number of approved videos.

Location: Remote, with flexible overlap with client’s timezone.
