Hi, we’re Shake Our mission is to help companies grow with online reviews, whether 1st party (on their business) or 3rd party (on other businesses). We leverage big data to enable workflows that have never been seen before, with a software as a service approach in Reviewshake and a data as a service approach in Datashake.
We’re an established business with thousands of paying customers and a team of 20+ and are searching for a full-time remote Ruby Engineer to help us build out our web applications. You’ll be an important part of our early-stage team and work on a proven reviews management platform. We are looking for someone who is excited about building out game-changing reviews management features that are used by big and small businesses all around the world.

On a typical day, you will:
- uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to our product development
- create and develop new functionalities as well as maintain existing ones
- implement customer-requested features based on ongoing requirements
- write clean and scalable code
- doing code-reviews
- learn best practices from other team members
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate has:
- strong knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails (3+ years)
- experience with high-volume background jobs processing
- good knowledge of PostgreSQL
- experience with modern APIs based on REST and GraphQL
- fluent English and excellent communication skills
Nice to have:
- experience creating SaaS for big and small businesses
- experience working with ReactJS
- experience working with Stripe payment
- experience with Facebook APIs and Google Business API
- passion for writing clean code and tests
- hands-on approach and is proactive
- a keen eye for detail, striving for perfection

Salary range: $24,000 – $48,000 / year (USD, gross)
