Job Description

Brainrider is looking for a conceptual Senior Copywriter to become an integral part of our leading client’s in-house B2B creative department. You’ll partner with internal product marketers, designers, and strategists to create inspiring programs, campaigns, and activations that will captivate and engage a small business audience.

You’re someone who loves big ideas, brand storytelling, and the craft of copywriting. A large part of your focus will be helping to build a community of small business advocates through social media posts, relationship marketing, and community outreach.

You thrive in fast-paced environments and collaborate well with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. You are also an expert in your craft, understand the importance of tone, and know how to infuse the right level of brand personality into the work to make it distinctive and on-brand.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop high-quality concepts, unique activations, and compelling ideas that connect with small business audiences and motivate them to take action
  • Plan, write, and edit compelling case studies in both written and video form
  • Concept, write, and partner with an Art Director to create advertising and other forms B2B marketing content
  • Communicate the client’s impact on small businesses in compelling ways
  • Interpret and translate complex information into accessible content that’s simple and to the point
  • Direct well-crafted headlines and develop longform content that’s full of substance and meaning while being clear and concise
  • Drive and maintain consistency within the client’s brand voice and standards
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers, and engineers to serve a global content audience
  • Autonomously deliver high-quality work on brief and on time
  • Drive and maintain consistency within the client’s brand voice and standards

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of writing experience with 2-4 years agency experience
  • Background writing for B2B marketing communications or familiarity with creating advocacy content as a plus (case studies, quarterly reports, blogging)
  • Please provide links to writing samples/portfolio (PDF, URLs) with your application
  • Talent for translating complex concepts into easy-to-understand material while driving brand voice
  • Ability to iterate new content over time from a stable set of core topics
  • An approach to writing that’s professional, measured, and optimistic in tone
  • Strategic thinker with strong storytelling skills; experience developing content and project managing the creative process
  • Track record of moving fast and working within tight deadlines
  • Collaborative approach to trusted partnership building across multiple organizational levels
  • Experience/familiarity with Direct Response Marketing preferable

This is a full-time embedded position working 100% with our client’s office. This position is remote until further notice, following COVID-19 recommended SIP guidelines.
