The Role
We are seeking an experienced developer with the relentless pursuit of crafting a world-class DevOps culture. The ideal candidate promotes modern DevOps, and recognizes the application developer as the customer’ to enable.
You will join Nacelle’s Engineering staff to develop and build all aspects of infrastructure and CICD. You will work directly with application developers on well-designed, repeatable solutions that scale.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with members across the organization to shape and execute our DevOps strategy
- Develop and maintain efficient microservice CICD pipelines to ensure consistency across environments while increasing deployment speeds
- Implement infrastructure as code tailored to the needs of Nacelle’s feature requirements, while adhering to industry best practices
- Participate in full-stack team sprints with shared deliverables
- Collaborate regularly with leadership on measurable goals
Qualifications
- You value the breadth of ideas a diverse and inclusive environment offers
- Three years in a high-performance DevOps environment
- Thrive in a high-paced, remote-first, startup environment
- Expert knowledge of AWS core services, relevant AWS certification(s) a plus
- Experience developing production-hardened infrastructure (Terraform, CDK)
- Familiarity with Pulumi will set you apart from other candidates
- Expert ability to develop modern CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Github Actions)
- Experience in a microservice environment (APIs, Lambda, Kafka, EKS, Docker)
- Acutely aware of the state-of-the-art DevOps practices and tooling
- Understanding of software engineering patterns and code construction
- Proficiency with, or adaptability to learn Typescript/Javascript
- Familiarity with various data store and data pipeline technologies a plus
- Experience with observability tools (New Relic, DataDog, CloudWatch)
