We are a Ukrainian e-commerce company developing our own brands in the seeds and gardening niche for the US market. Our business covers the entire product journey, from production and logistics to online sales.
Our primary marketplace is Amazon US, with additional sales channels including Etsy, eBay, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and Shopify.
Our approach combines data-informed decisions, structured processes, and fast execution.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SMM Manager to build a cohesive social media function for our brands and strengthen their connection with US customers.
This is a new role with ownership of both strategy and execution. Your goal will be to grow brand awareness and turn social media activity into measurable traffic, conversions, and sales.
A significant share of our audience is aged 50+, so content and communication should reflect their interests, expectations, and purchasing behavior.
We are considering only candidates who speak Ukrainian or Russian for day-to-day team communication.

Requirements

At least 5 years of social media marketing experience, including at least 2 years managing accounts targeting US audiences.
Proven US market results and a strong understanding of local language, cultural references, and how audiences respond to different content formats.
Experience promoting physical products through DTC, e-commerce, or marketplaces. Your portfolio should include product brands; experience limited to services or B2B projects is insufficient.
Experience developing social media strategies from scratch and putting them into practice.
A thorough understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest algorithms and organic growth mechanisms.
Ability to connect content performance with traffic, conversions, and sales, alongside reach and engagement metrics.
Experience working with US creators, including sourcing, briefing, UGC approvals, and whitelisting.
Familiarity with US seasonality and key calendar moments, including Mother's Day, Memorial Day, back-to-school, Black Friday, and the spring gardening season.
Confident use of AI tools for content creation and trend research.
Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher, with the ability to write copy and subtitles independently without an editor.
Ability to assess business needs, prioritize independently, and translate strategy into specific actions.
A university degree.

Nice to have
An established network of US influencers and creators.
Experience generating sales through TikTok Shop.
Experience using Pinterest in Home & Garden or Lifestyle categories.
Experience with Amazon Posts and Brand Store.
Understanding of Google and Facebook advertising tools.

Responsibilities

Strategy and brand communication
Audit the brands' current social media presence, assess business needs, and identify growth opportunities.
Develop and execute a strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Amazon Posts.
Define brand positioning and messaging tailored to the products and target audience.
Align social media initiatives with the broader marketing strategy in collaboration with marketing, design, and e-commerce teams.

Content and production
Manage the content calendar and maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
Identify US trends and viral formats, adapting relevant ideas to the brands' products and audiences.
Develop concepts for videos, short-form content, posts, and visuals.
Write English copy and subtitles that feel natural to US consumers.
Coordinate content production, preparing briefs for designers, video makers, and creators and overseeing delivery.
Incorporate seasonal themes, holidays, and peak demand periods into content planning.

Creator partnerships
Find relevant US influencers and build productive partnerships.
Manage UGC production from the initial brief and concept approval through to final deliverables.
Coordinate content usage permissions and whitelisting with the PPC team.

Analytics and optimization
Track reach, engagement, audience growth, traffic, and social media's contribution to sales.
Test new formats and growth hypotheses, evaluate results, and refine the approach.
Monitor US competitors and identify opportunities to strengthen the brands' market presence.

Team and collaboration
You will have access to support from 5 Amazon designers and a website SEO specialist.
A separate PPC team manages Google and Facebook advertising. You will collaborate with them, while independently setting up paid campaigns is not a requirement for this role.
