As the company continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Director who will take ownership of commercial performance, strengthen our sales capabilities, and build scalable revenue-generating processes.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader with strong experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, and revenue management who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to execution.
Role Mission
Build and lead a scalable commercial function that drives sustainable revenue growth, creates a predictable sales pipeline, strengthens strategic partnerships, and improves commercial performance across international markets.
The Commercial Director will translate the company's growth strategy into clear commercial targets, processes, ownership, and measurable results.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Take ownership of revenue targets and commercial performance.
Drive revenue growth through direct sales, business development, partnerships, and existing client expansion.
Build, structure, and scale commercial teams and sales processes.
Develop a predictable and scalable B2B sales pipeline across international markets.
Establish clear commercial KPIs, revenue targets, forecasting models, and reporting frameworks.
Introduce structured pipeline management, deal qualification, sales forecasting, and performance review processes.
Lead negotiations with key clients, merchants, partners, payment providers, and other strategic stakeholders.
Identify new markets, customer segments, verticals, sales channels, and commercial opportunities.
Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships that contribute to revenue growth.
Improve conversion across the commercial funnel from lead generation and qualification to closing, onboarding, and account growth.
Analyze sales performance, conversion rates, pipeline quality, revenue trends, and commercial efficiency.
Identify underperforming channels and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Develop commercial models, pricing approaches, proposals, and partnership structures.
Ensure clear ownership and accountability across commercial activities.
Work closely with Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Support teams.
Translate client feedback and market demand into actionable recommendations for Product and Operations teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
Support expansion into new markets and development of new revenue channels.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team.
Provide transparent commercial reporting and actionable recommendations to the executive team.
Represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences, client meetings, and partnership discussions.<\/p>\n
Requirements
7+ years of experience in Commercial, Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, or related functions.
3+ years of experience in a leadership position such as Commercial Director, Head of Sales, Head of Business Development, Sales Director, CBDO, or equivalent.
Proven track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Strong experience building and scaling B2B sales organizations and commercial processes.
Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles from lead generation through negotiation and closing.
Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, revenue planning, and commercial performance.
Experience establishing sales KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance management systems.
Strong experience in enterprise negotiations and strategic partnership development.
Ability to identify new commercial opportunities, markets, customer segments, and revenue channels.
Strong understanding of pricing, commercial models, conversion funnels, and account growth.
Experience working with international clients and markets.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to make decisions based on commercial data.
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.
Experience within FinTech, Payments, Banking, SaaS, Technology, E-commerce, or other regulated\/high-growth industries will be considered a strong advantage.

The existing commercial structure, sales pipeline, revenue channels, and key accounts are fully assessed.
A clear commercial strategy and short-term execution roadmap are presented to the leadership team.
Revenue targets, commercial KPIs, ownership, and accountability are clearly defined.
A transparent pipeline management and forecasting framework is established.
Sales funnel stages, qualification criteria, and conversion metrics are standardized.
Key clients, strategic partners, and high-potential opportunities are prioritized.
Regular commercial reporting and performance review processes are running effectively.
Major bottlenecks across the sales funnel are identified with clear action plans in place.
Short-term opportunities for revenue growth and account expansion are activated.
Collaboration between Commercial, Business Development, Marketing, Product, and Operations is improved.
A clear plan for scaling the commercial team and developing new revenue channels is established.<\/p>\n
What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for a Commercial Director who focuses only on managing reports, existing clients, or supervising a sales team.
We are looking for a commercial builder who can create structure, improve sales execution, build a predictable pipeline, develop strategic partnerships, and take real ownership of revenue performance.
The ideal candidate understands complex B2B sales, can confidently lead negotiations with senior decision-makers, works comfortably with numbers and commercial metrics, and is equally capable of developing strategy and getting directly involved in critical deals.
