This is what you will do as a Senior Backend Developer
As a Senior Backend Developer you help people find their dream job. You do this by developing a new recruitment marketing platform.
In general you will develop new features for our applications using Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, MyBatis or Hibernate and PostgreSQL. Also you will review code written by colleagues.
For example, you will become responsible for building the backend which handles receiving and forwarding job applications. Or you build a drip email marketing system which our clients can use on their recruitment pages.
The job is not only about delivering features according to specifications. It actually involves a great deal of understanding of our product, communication back and forth with our users. You will enjoy having autonomy at work and you should feel comfortable in an environment in which you will be getting your requirements directly from end users or colleagues.

All team members are great communicators and enjoy working in a non-political environment with autonomy to decide what to work on, based on a well defined quarterly goal. We have very few meetings and a flat hierarchy!
The development team is small, it currently consists of only four people: Ewoud from the Netherlands, Miguel and Luis from Spain and Razvan from Romania. You would become the second full time backend developer.
