Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Scott AFB, IL or Remotely.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Create and design processes or experiments to test quality of products.

o Work with software engineers to ensure quality is built into digital solutions.

o Provide input on whether products are ready to launch.

o Maintain responsibility for defining, documenting, analyzing, performing, and interpreting developmental tests for new & modified products or product components.

o Recommend changes in procedures.

o Operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.

o Review progress with management.

o Assisting in designing, developing, coordinating, and maintaining all aspects of the delivery of solutions for an established mobility system.

o Partnering with the stakeholders to achieve mission priorities through innovation critical thinking, collaboration, and proactive risk management.

o Testing and tuning software solutions on a regular basis to identify and remedy issues.

o Assisting in developing, implementing, and testing software solutions.

o Partnering with customers to gather requirements through understanding of customer users’ data/analytics needs and challenges.

o Maintaining and ensuring availability of software across multiple production and development environments.

o Maintaining security and integrity controls and formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to quality assurance.

o Supporting the implementation of all required security updates as directed by applicable STIGs.

o Proactively identifying and communicating issues, risks, progress to customer, contractor team, and IT stakeholders, providing options and next steps.

o Assisting in updating informal and formal documentation and software architecture products.

Basic Qualifications:

o Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field-comparable experience in DOD logistics and/or mission planning as a US Airforce pilot regarded as a positive

o 9 years’ experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience

o 1+ yrs. experience testing or developing software applications

o 1+ yrs. experience with technologies

o Experience with testing analytical functions in Cloud-based architectures

o Experience with Web Service or automated testing a plus

o Experience with test methodologies, QA process, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking

o Knowledge of Agile development

o Knowledge of government practices

o Knowledge of operating systems and networking, release procedures, and software defect tracking

o Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

o Java, C#/or C++, JavaScript/HTML5 Framework (EXT/JS, Angular, React)

o Oracle PL-SQL

o Work experience in systems design, programming and systems software and support

o Work is remote, but candidates local to the Scott AFB/St. Louis area preferred; strong remote candidates will be given consideration

o Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices and secure software development.

o Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II satisfying certification

Security Clearance Requirements:

o Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Public Trust or more preferably an Active DoD issued Secret or higher Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

o The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

o The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

o The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
