AQA Engineer (Cypress/API)

About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer ( located in Europe) for a fintech project who can own the full testing lifecycle. This role is ideal for a specialist who is comfortable working independently, collaborating with developers and product teams, and ensuring high product quality from requirements to release, with hands-on commercial experience in Cypress test automation and API testing.
Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle testing: from requirements analysis to release validation;
Design, write, and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans);
Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications;
Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cypress;
Perform API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST) for financial data and transactions;
Identify, document, and track bugs (e.g., using Jira or similar tools);
Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing;
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers;
Participate in grooming, planning, and sprint activities;
Validate requirements and provide early feedback on potential issues;
Support release processes and post-release verification.
Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience in QA (manual and automation combined);
Commercial experience with Cypress for test automation;
Practical experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST);
Understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and software development lifecycle (SDLC);
Experience with manual testing of web applications;
Ability to write clear and structured test documentation;
Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, YouTrack, etc.);
Understanding of client-server architecture;
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation;
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams;
Good analytical thinking and attention to detail;
Nice to have: experience testing fintech/banking products, understanding of payment flows or financial calculations;
English level: Upper- Intermediate or higher (written and spoken).
