Description
We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a project focused on financial documentation and document processing solutions within the insurance domain.
You will work on the development and evolution of reliable, scalable backend services, collaborating with an experienced international engineering team and business stakeholders.

Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Java 17+.
Strong hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
Solid experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
Experience with unit and integration testing.
Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
Experience working with Docker and preferably Kubernetes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas.
Upper-Intermediate or higher English.
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in financial services.

Job responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA engineers, architects, and other developers.
Contribute to system performance, reliability, security, and scalability improvements.
Participate in CI/CD, deployment, and production support activities.
